What started as a passion project jamming with local musicians covering great blues artists like The Allman Brothers, Jimmy Hendrix, B.B. King, Muddy Waters and Eric Clapton soon morphed into an uncontainable low down, foot stomping blues boogie and jiving rock & roll band with original music written by Basson Laubscher himself.

Their first EP, Shakedown, was released in 2014 which was reviewed by Mixed Apples stating: “The SHAKEDOWN EP takes you through a journey of the different influences and inspirations in their sound, from foot stomping rock n roll, to some sweet blues, with a touch of country and gospel. This album will have your attention from start to end, showcasing some amazing guitar riffs and solo’s, with Basson capturing you with his amazing, soothing voice.” Their second album, Testify, was released late 2017 and here is what the Underground Press had to say about it, “Title track ‘Testify’ opens up with a plunging musical baptism with its chorus of horns, guitars, and sermonic delivery of LAUBSCHER’s vocal performance. As fierce and as bombastic the opener is the following ‘Lost’ purifies the ear with a peaceful acoustic offering. The relationship between these two tracks is emblematic of the tonal balance of Testify. Whether the objective is to overwhelm with the sheer might LAUBSCHER and company are capable of or draw in close with intimacy the album maintains its equilibrium. That is to say, no matter the peak or valley the album feels even from track to track.”
